Journey from Germany to Turkey for a baby!

Songül and Dursun Bilir, who live in Germany, have discovered a new joy these days.After their first IVF baby, Songül got pregnant with their frozen embryo and is now preparing for the birth of their second child.Their son, Furkan, who is now 3 years old, is waiting impatiently for the birth of his sibling.
Songül Bilir, aged 34, summarizes their ten-year story as follows
“We had wanted a child for eight years and had gone from doctor to doctor.Since we lived in Germany, we tried insemination and IVF there a few times.We were told at length, “You cannot have a baby, do not try any more!Consider adoption.”I had polycystic ovary syndrome and my husband had a sperm deficiency.My husband underwent TESE.We were told that it was impossible to perform a second TESE.However, we did notlose hope and kept searching for other options.A friend of ours who lived in the Netherlands had been treated in Istanbul and now had a baby.Upon their recommendation, we came to Istanbul and applied to the IVF Center at the German Hospital.Thanks to Dr. Murat Berksoy, the family physician and the nutritional consultant of the Bahçeçi team, I lost a lot of weight, had my whole metabolism put in order and got pregnant on the fourth attempt.I gave birth to my son, Furkan, in Germany, via a normal delivery.»We are very, very happy.”
After this experience, the Bilir couple asked themselves, “Why shouldn’t we have a second child?” Encouraged by their son, Furkan, they came to Istanbul to be treated once more.
After TESE and microinjection, they arenow waiting for their second child.The Bilirssaid, “We are very happy.It is worth the trouble.We are impatiently waiting for our second baby.”
Having underwent a TESE procedure twice because of his sperm problem, Dursun Bilir addresses future fathers:
“Fathers are generally shy of taking responsibility. An inability to have a baby does not always come from the woman.I always stood by my wife and she by me.This is a couple’s problem, no matter from whom it arises.We underwent the treatment together, did not lose heart and now have two children – the second being on the way.”
