Uterus Diseases

The uterus is the organ where the baby implants during pregnancy. It is located between the bladder and the rectum, and above the vagina. The uterus looks like an upside-down pear.

The uterus consists of 3 parts. The upper part of the uterus, which is its largest part, is called the corpus uteri (the main part). The lower part of the uterus, the cervix, is narrow. The junction between these two parts is called the uterine isthmus. A significant part of gynaecological diseases occurs in the uterus. We can list the problems related to the uterus as follows:

• Uterine Prolapse
• Myomas
• Endometrioma (Chocolate Cysts)
• Endometrium Cancer
